The pictures were taken by Tamya Stallings. This is just some of the authors that were there. This doesn't include any of the other vendors. This is a really neat event.
I went to the Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie today to deliver some books. This is such a neat museum! If you haven't been there before, you need to go. While I was there, I took some pictures of the lobby and a picture of Gena. Gena is the Archivist there.
I enjoyed being a vendor at the Small Business Saturday. I met a lot of new people and ran into some people from Newport, AR, my home town.
I hope to be invited back next year.
Below are a couple of pictures I took while setting up.
This was my 2nd year at the Cornbread Festival and I had a lot of fun. The best thing was being set up next to the Excalibur truck and smelling them make hamburgers all day. I actually tried one of their hamburgers for the 1st time and it was DELICIOUS!

What a gorgeous day it was in Scott, AR. We also had some dear friends, Tom & Yoyo come out and help us with out booth. It was really great to see you guys and thanks again for everything.
I really enjoyed spending my 50th birthday at this event. I met a lot of really nice people and I can't wait to go back next year. While I was there, a friend on mine had a rose delivered to me for my birthday. What a lovely surprise indeed.
On April 12, 2016, I gave a lecture at ASU Newport. The class I gave it to was a high voltage class. This is a very dangerous job to have. The lecture was about making the right choices in life because each choice you make determines the path you take. My son, Anthony, made a lot of bad choices in his life and those choices cost him his life. I hope after hearing Anthony's story, it helped someone in that class make the right choices going forward.
If you would like for me to come give a lecture for your class, please contact me. If you would like to see a video of my presentation in advance, I will send you a copy.
This is a festival they have each March in Marshall, AR. The proceeds go to the art students. You pay $5.00 to sample the chocolate rolls that the contestants have entered in the contest. Then you get to vote on your favorite chocolate roll. Not only do they have a chocolate roll contest but they also have a car show and vendors. I truly enjoyed participating in the vendor part of the festival this year and look forward to going again next year.
I had a wonderful time today at the Woodruff County Library in Augusta, AR. I met a lot of very nice people and made some new friends. If you live in the Augusta area, I highly recommend the library there. When you go, please tell the ladies behind the counter I said, "hello."
The title on my cookbook for kids is, "Kids Can Cook Too!" It is for children ages 3-16. There are 100 recipes in this book and it is broken down by ages. The youngest age is 3 and if your child is older than 3, they can cook the things in their age group as well as the things in the 3 year old age group.
This book was requested by a friend of mine so I decided to go ahead and write this book at the same time I am writing, "Great Ideas For Special Occasions." I hope to have them both finished by the end of 2016.
December 13, 2015
This year, I went to Wynne, AR to join them in the World Wide Candle Lighting. Cassandra was the hostess and she did an awesome job. I am so honored to have been a part of it. Below are some of the pictures I took while there.
This vendor show was from November 30, 2015 - December 2, 2015. I met a lot of new people here and saw some old friends. I really enjoyed the show and will be back next year. Thank you to everyone that supported me and I look forward to visiting you soon.
Cliff and I went to Wings Over The Prairie in Stuttgart today. We really enjoyed it. This is an annual event for the duck hunters and is a huge thing. Thank you Nancy Hancock at Museum Grand Prairie for selling my cookbook at your booth. Look forward to seeing you again soon.
This will be my 3rd book. This is a book that I wrote in 1999 before Pinterest was around. If you like Pinterest, you will love this. The book has party ideas for every occasion you can imagine. Each event has ideas for decorating, food, games to play, etc. I have put as many pictures as I can in the book so you can visualize what I am talking about. I hope to have the book finished and ready for sale by January 2016 for my book signing in Newport, AR at ASUN. For more details about the book signing, click on the event tab. Check back often for the status of the book.
I met a lot of very nice people at this book signing and the staff was very polite and a huge help to me. I hope to be invited back in the future for another book signing.
I also got to meet a lady I have been speaking with for sometime now but have never met. She is a dear friend of mine, Wanda Weatherford. She is in the pictures below as well as her sister, husband, grandson, and a friend of her grandson's. It was so nice to finally get to meet you guys.
Below are some pictures taken during the book signing. The two ladies in the picture has since passed away. R.I.P. Wanda and Cathy. Until we meet again.
