My 2nd book, “Well Butter My Butt & Call Me a Biscuit,” is a cookbook of 6 generations of Southern family recipes. This cookbook has almost 600 recipes in it all originating in Arkansas. Including recipes for yeast rolls, casseroles, pies, cakes, ice cream, frog legs, and bear. There are special sections for Dutch oven cooking, canning, meals in a jar, gifts in a jar, wild game, and a kid’s corner. Throughout the book, you will find Southern sayings as well as cross references for: quick & easy recipes, holiday recipes, good for picnic and bar-b-que recipes, award winning recipes, etc. This cookbook is for sale in State Parks, museums, restaurants, hair salons, gift stores, and hotels.
I wrote this cookbook to share with others the delicious foods we grew up with and have passed on to our children. These recipes bring back childhood memories when our families would get together and have home cooked meals. Now a days, people don’t want to cook from scratch because it is so much easier to just go out and get fast food. I miss the days of home cooked meals.
I hope these meals put a smile on your face, bring back some childhood memories, and will allow your families to spend some quality time together. Enjoy!!!
Below are some pictures of the foods in the book. If you cook something, please send me a picture and I will add it to my website and Facebook page.
